Our Story
Green Retreat is a family run business offering an escape to a secluded private cabin surrounded by nature's tranquillity high in the Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales.
Immerse yourself in this unique location offering complete privacy and your own lake to enjoy with no other guests or neighbours close by.
Ideally suited for couples or young families (2 adults 3 children maximum) who want to unwind and truly get away.
Sorry no pets allowed.
Where we are
Our cabin is located in Mid Wales high in the Cambrian Mountains, in-between the market towns of Llanidloes and Machynlleth in a village called Dylife.
It is easily accessible by car and is approximately 3 hours from Bristol and Manchester and 5 hours from London.
We can also organise a local taxi firm to pick you up from train stations at either Caersws or Machynlleth.
Relax in Luxury
Swim in the private lake or relax on the jetty watching nature sing and buzz by or simply enjoy soaking in the hot-tub after a long day exploring the area.
Secluded Lakefront Cabin
Access to the cabin is on a boardwalk from your car right up to the front door.
Dining Outside
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal sitting next to the lake. There is BBQ area and firepit too.
Wild Swimming
Enjoy cooling off in this mountain lake, fed by two streams continually running from the surrounding hillsides.
Living Room
Day time mode provides ample seating and an area to relax; lower the mezzaine to reveal a King Size double bed. The Sofa opens to a double and the chair to a single bed.
Sleeping
The mezzaine is simply lowered by the push of a button revealing a King Size bed. Ideally suited to couples or families (2 adults 3 children maximum).
Kitchen
Enjoy preparing your meals or brewing a coffee with veiws over the lake. The foldable dining table provides seating for four.
W.C & Bathroom
A modern bathroom with an overhead rain shower and incinerating toilet, giving you modern hegenic facilities.
Woodland walk
Stroll over the bridge through the woodland to the Hot-Tub decking area.
Hot Tub
Relax and unwind in the wood fired Hot-Tub, all you need to do is to tell us what time you'd like the water warm for (Hot Tub coming soon)
